Bridge City FC Names Sewickley Sports Arena as Home for Inaugural Season

Pittsburgh, PA – Bridge City FC, Pittsburgh’s newest professional indoor soccer franchise, has officially announced the Sewickley Sports Arena as its home venue for the upcoming inaugural season in Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS).

The decision marks a major milestone for the team as it builds momentum ahead of kickoff in December. Located just outside the city in the heart of Sewickley, the arena offers a modern playing surface, ample seating for fans, and a community-driven atmosphere that aligns with Bridge City FC’s mission to unite the region through the sport.

“We’re proud to call the Sewickley Sports Arena our home,” said joint owners: Jack Shearer, Josh DiMatteo, and Grant Glorioso.  “It’s more than just a venue — it’s where we’ll defend our city, build our culture, and connect with Pittsburgh’s passionate soccer community.”

Bridge City FC aims to deliver a hard-nosed, high-intensity style of play reflective of Pittsburgh’s blue-collar identity. With its rallying cry — “Hold the Bridge. Defend the Burgh.” — the club hopes to inspire fans to pack the stands and bring the same energy that defines the Steel City.

The club is expected to announce ticket packages, merchandise, and open tryout dates in the coming months. As excitement grows, Sewickley Sports Arena is preparing to transform into a fortress for Bridge City FC’s first campaign.

Fans are encouraged to follow the team on social media for updates and exclusive behind-the-scenes content as the team prepares to make its mark in MLIS.
