Bridge City wins a thriller in Fort Wayne!

Bridge City FC picked up its first win in club history in wild fashion on the road last night, taking down the Summit City Sentinels 9–8 thanks to a Jamie Luchini game-winner with just nine seconds left.

The night had all the drama you could ask for. Bridge City trailed 7–4 with 10 minutes to play before flipping the match on its head. The turning point came on a shorthanded coast-to-coast run from Jack Shearer, who buried a momentum-shifting goal to spark the comeback. Moments later, goals from Gabe Norris and Nathan Dragisich leveled the score at 7–7 and reset the energy inside the arena.

From there, both sides traded blows until the final minute, when Shearer found Luchini on the doorstep for the late dagger that secured the 9–8 victory.

Jamie Luchini led the way offensively with 4 goals and an assist, delivering a high-level performance all night. Jack Shearer followed with 1 goal and 2 assists, including the game-winning setup. Nathan Dragisich chipped in 2 goals, and Gabe Norris added a goal and an assist as part of the furious rally.

Josh DiMatteo and Grant Glorioso were steady anchors defensively, bringing veteran presence and composure during the tense stretches. Louis Newell also supplied a timely assist early in the second half to keep Bridge City within reach.

A historic moment came earlier in the match as well—Josh Luchini scored the first goal in club history, converting on a man-up power play from a sharp feed by Shearer.

Bridge City walks away with its first win, its first classic, and a statement-making comeback to kick off the season.
